Boeheim passes Knight
Sports Thursday, January 3rd, 2013Jim Boeheim (BAY’-hym) has moved ahead of Bob Knight for second all-time among Division I men’s basketball coaches. Boeheim claimed his 903rd victory last night as Brandon Triche hit five three-pointers and scored a season-high 25 points to lead the Orange to a 78-53 win over Rutgers. Boeheim, trails only Duke’s Mike Krzyzewski, who has 940 victories after the Blue Devils beat Davidson 67-50.
