College Station police stayed busy over the weekend.
Saturday night, gunshots reported near the corner of Poplar and Eisenhower led them to a house that had been struck by several rounds.
Those reporting said five men armed with a gun and baseball bat had approached the home and tried to call three individuals into the street, shooting at them as they went inside.
No one was injured and the culprits escaped in a black or dark blue low-rider pickup.
Meanwhile, a traffic stop near the intersection of Harvey Mitchell Parkway and Luther Street early Sunday morning resulted in police finding more than a pound of marijuana in a car.
The driver, Shelby Goodman, 39, of College Station, was arrested for his third DWI and the marijuana.

News: Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon
0730 AM: On December 29, 2012 at approximately 2230 hours Officers with the College Station Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Poplar for reported gunshots.
Upon arrival, Officer made contact with the reporting parties.
During the investigation it was discovered that a group of five males approached a residence in this area and attempted to call three individuals out into the street.
The residents refused to go into the street and turned to walk back inside the house.
As they were entering their house, one of the males in the street discharged a firearm at them.
Several of the rounds struck the house, but none of the victims were injured during the incident.
The suspects then fled on foot, before getting into a vehicle and leaving the area eastbound on University Dr East.
The suspects were described as follows:
One Hispanic male, approximately 6’2”, large build, and armed with a handgun.
Second Hispanic male, thin build, long hair and carrying a baseball bat.
Third Hispanic male with an unknown description.
Two black males wearing dark clothing.
The suspect vehicle was described as a late model Chevy SS pick-up with dark tinted windows.
It was further described as an either black or dark blue “low rider”.
The vehicle had distinctive wheels that had a chrome outer rim and spokes with a black center cap.
This case is still under investigation by the College Station Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
The College Station Police Department is seeking information regarding the identity of the suspects in this case.
