Research Valley Partnership Monitoring Changes at CPRIT

Three personnel changes have been made at the top of the state’s cancer prevention and research institute, also known as CPRIT.

That’s in addition to state leaders calling for CPRIT to suspend future grants until addressing concerns about how applications are reviewed, among other things.

The suspension of grants leaves prospects in limbo, including some that could come to the biocorridor.

Todd McDaniel of the Research Valley Partnership says it will be for the better if it takes a few months for CPRIT to get its house in order for the agency to restore credibility.

McDaniel says they have tremendous candidates for CPRIT grants with near-term business decisions to be taken.
