Blinn College Review of Brazos Valley Bowl

Many members of the Blinn College Board of Trustees were at Kyle Field for the first Brazos Valley Bowl game that was co-sponsored by the school.

Spokesman Brandon Webb says attendance was 4,138. That topped the six NJCAA-sanctioned bowl games.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau is still tabulating the number of guests staying at local hotels for the bowl game, one of three sports events held that weekend.

Attendance numbers given to Blinn of the other junior college bowl games:

Salt City: 800-1,000
Valley of the Sun: 2,200
Graphic Edge: 3,700-4,000 (includes first game & national championship)
Citizens Bank: 4,000
El Toro: 2,984
