American Eagle Adds Flight at Easterwood Airport

Easterwood Airport is getting early presents for Christmas and Valentine’s Day.

Airport manager John Happ says American Eagle is adding a fifth flight to and from DFW starting February 14th.

Happ credits increased traffic based in part of A&M’s affiliation with the Southeastern Conference and airport investments including jetways allowing passengers to enter and exit jets from inside the terminal.

Among the reasons are investments A and M have made to bring more passenger jets.

Happ says they continue to recruit jet service to and from Atlanta, which he says will take some type of economic incentive as is provided to American and United.

And Happ reminds those flying out of Easterwood to check in at least one hour before departure times. That’s because airline employees close ticket counters 30 minutes before takeoff because they are also responsible for boarding passengers and other duties.
