Local HS Students Involved in Bowl Games

The Texas A&M football team isn’t the only local group making a bowl appearance.

Before the Aggies learned they were headed to the Cotton Bowl, the Rudder High School Rangerettes drill team accepted an invitation to perform during pre-game and halftime. Head coach Annette Holmes says the entire team will joining several other high schools. The team has been practicing the Cotton Bowl routine through the month of December.  Well wishers are invited to send off the team January 2nd at 8:30 a.m. from Rudder High School.

The day after the Cotton Bowl, look for an A&M Consolidated High School senior on the field. College Station ISD spokesman Chuck Glenewinkel says Jae-Hyun Ryoo is part of the band performing at the All-American Bowl in San Antonio. Glenewinkel says 125 seniors make up the band and color guard performing at halftime of the January 5th game.
