Texans, Cowboys and NFL Scores
Sports Monday, December 17th, 2012Dallas: In a very seesaw game that had playoff ramifications for both teams the Cowboy’s out lasted Ben Roethlisberger and the Stealers. Dan Bailey kicked a 21-yard field goal in overtime yesterday to give the Dallas Cowboys a 27-24 win over the Pittsburgh. Brandon Carr intercepted a Ben Roethlisberger pass along the sideline on the second play of overtime to set up the game-winning kick. The Cowboys moved into a three-way tie for the NFC East lead with the New York Giants and Washington Redskins.
Houston: The Texans clinched the AFC South title yesterday with a 29-17 win over the Colts. Andre Johnson had 151 yards receiving and a TD or the 12-2 Texans. The Colts had won three straight and needed a win to clinch a playoff berth a year after going 2-14. But Houston held them off, thanks in part to three sacks from J.J. Watt, to get back on track a week after an embarrassing 42-14 loss to New England. The Texans will have home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs in they win out.
