Dallas Cowboys’ Dan Bailey kicked a 40-yard field goal as time expired yesterday to give the Dallas Cowboys a 20-19 over the Cincinnati Bengals. Tony
Romo added a 27-yard touchdown pass to Dez Bryant. The Cowboys victory came a day after teammate Jerry Brown was killed in an auto accident.
Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent says he’s “just trying to deal” with the death of his teammate Jerry Brown. Brent is
charged with intoxication manslaughter in the Texas traffic accident that killed Brown. Both men also were teammates at the University of Illinois.
The Texans traveled to New England on Sunday in style – high school style. Just about every single player wore a custom-made Texans letterman jacket as the team flew from Houston to New England in the morning. Most players paired the jackets with white button-down shirts, ties and khaki pants. The jackets arrived at Reliant Stadium on Friday, and players said they planned to wear them as a group on their trip to play the Patriots on Monday Night Football. Texans coach Gary Kubiak told the media on Saturday that he would let the players wear the jackets, joking that “they’ll do anything to get out of a suit” – their normal road trip attire.
