Bryan Council Approves Freeway Construction Speed Reduction

The Bryan City Council had no questions and no comments before unanimously approved a temporary reduction in the speed limit along the freeway to 60 miles per hour.

Transportation Director Dale Picha says construction bids will be opened this month to rebuild freeway on and off ramps from William Joel Bryan south to Emerald Parkway.

Picha says construction will start early next spring  and will take 20 months to complete.
