Two Bryan Streets Closed Monday

Motorists in Bryan should make plan for two street closures that begin on Monday.
Message boards and advisory signs indicate East 29th will be closed Monday for an indefinite period between Hutchins and Haswell, which is between Texas and Coulter.
And the City of Bryan issued a news release Monday begins a closure of 4 to 6 weeks on Martin Luther King Jr. West between Harlem Lane and Bowery Street. This closure is required in order to replace the drainage culverts at this location with a substantially larger structure to provide needed flood protection in this area, as well as a safe and secure traffic route during severe rainfall events. A two-way traffic detour uses Columbus Avenue, West 17th Street, and Harlem Lane.
