Salvation Army Christmas Preparations Commence

Christmas is almost upon us, and the Salvation Army is replete with opportunities for you to volunteer in the spirit of Christmas and make a difference for families needing help with holiday cheer.

Lieutenant Michelle Walker says the red kettle and Angel Tree programs will kick off Friday at noon at Post Oak Mall.

Walker says volunteers who ring bells at the collection kettles help bring in most of the year’s funds, while those who sponsor children through the Angel Tree program provide Christmas gifts to almost 700 local families.

If you’d like to volunteer, call 979-204-6781, or send an email to ginger_cavinder@uss.salvationarmy.org
