CS Council Approves Brian Bachmann Community Park
Featured Stories, News Friday, October 26th, 2012A unanimous College Station city council approved renaming Southwood Athletic Park for slain Brazos County Constable Brian Bachmann.
Ida Billows of the Parks and Recreation advisory board read the more than 130 letters in support.
Little League President Damon Slaydon was one of the organizers.
Councilwoman Katy-Marie Lyles made the motion changing the name to Brian Bachmann Community Park.

Karl Mooney was part of the unanimous vote changing the name.
A formal dedication will be held when the Little League season opens next April.
