Two More Arrests From CS Aggravated Kidnapping
Featured Stories, News Wednesday, October 17th, 2012An aggravated kidnapping reported in College Station last weekend has led to more arrests.
Officer Rhonda Seaton says detectives learned what was first reported as a meeting between a local music promoter and rappers from the Houston area turned out to be a failed drug deal.
That led to a sweep of multiple locations Wednesday morning by College Station and Bryan police and the FBI.
23 year old Candise Brooks and 30 year old Nicholas Johnson of College Station were arrested for aggravated robbery and residential burglary. That brings to five the number arrested so far.
Investigators say Nicholas Johnson had originally contacted Johnarl Gordon and asked him to help commit a robbery in College Station. As a result Gordon, Michael Perry and Ricky Jingles arrived in College Station on October 13 as planned. However, the robbery occurred when two suspects not included in the original plan entered a residence with the intent to commit robbery. During this incident they displayed a firearm and deprived the resident of his property (marijuana). Perry, Gordon and Jingles thought that the robbery was an organized attempt to deprive them of their share of the proceeds and then kidnapped Johnson.
Rhonda Seaton visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
