Bryan-Based Olympians Resume Training Following London Games

It’s back to work for a pair of Bryan-based Olympic gold medalists.

Demetrius Pinder and Aries Merritt said training began Monday for next year’s world championships.

Pinder, part of the 4×400 relay team for the Bahamas and Merritt, who won the 110 hurdles, were at the Texas Reds Festival in downtown Bryan signing autographs.

They’ll return to downtown Bryan in December as grand marshals of the Christmas parade.

Over the sounds of a passing train and the Johnny Lee concert, Pinder and Merritt visited about what they did following the London games and looked back at their accomplishments.
