Bryan Rotary Club Hosts Veterans Day Programs

There’s a unique opportunity for you to participate in this year’s Veteran’s Day programs.

Bryan Rotary Club Chair Bunny Pratt says they are looking for sponsors for a week-long, one-thousand flag display at Veterans Park.

She says it’s a great, historic representation of what veterans have done for our country, and a testament to the local community’s support of those who’ve served.

Pratt says you can dedicate multiple flags or just one to anyone who serves in our community and country, such as members of the military, police, firefighters, or emergency services.

In addition, twenty-five to fifty volunteers are being sought to guide hundreds of local fifth graders through the memorials at Veterans Park, Monday through Friday, November 12th through the 16th.

Pratt says they hope to provide a one-stop learning environment for the students, with ten scripted tour stations.

She says the display will conclude with a flag retirement ceremony conducted by boy scouts.
