Salvation Army Angel Tree Interviews Start Today

Now is the time to apply for the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, which provides gifts for under-privileged children and low-income families who otherwise might not be able to celebrate Christmas.

Lieutenant Michelle Walker says interviews start today and run from nine to four, and will continue through next Friday, October 26, at the Salvation Army’s office in Bryan.

Walker says you should bring picture identification and the birth certificate for each child participating, plus proof of residence, income, and household expenses.

She says they’re also looking for volunteers to help conduct interviews during the next two weeks, particularly Spanish-speakers.

Walker says that last year, almost seven hundred families that applied.

She says the Angel Tree program will kick off at Post Oak Mall next month.

The Salvation Army’s office is located at 2506 Cavitt Avenue.
