Kidnapping in CS Leads to Arrests in Navasota

Three rappers, two from Houston and a third from Hempstead, are accused of kidnapping a College Station music promoter and threatening to kill him. Police tracking the victim’s cell phone to Navasota resulted in arresting all three suspects. The victim was not injured in the early Saturday morning incident that began in an apartment complex off Harvey Mitchell Parkway near Holleman and ended at a Navasota convenience store off Highway 6.

Officers responded Saturday at 1:13 a.m. to a call of a possible kidnapping in the area of Longmire and Deacon. That followed a report an unidentified man was taken against his will from the area of Holleman West and FM 2818 by suspects who were threatening to shoot him.

The investigation led officers to believe that the suspects were taking the victim to the Houston area. With the help of DPS and Navasota Police Department, the suspects were located in Navasota. The victim was found with the suspects unharmed.

Once the suspects and victim were located, officers from the College Station Police Department continued the investigation into the offense. Officers learned that the victim was taken against under the threat of deadly force and the suspects exhibited a deadly weapon during the kidnapping.

Arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping with a deadly weapon was 29 year old Ricky Lawrence Jingles of Hempstead, 26 year old Michael James Perry of Houston, and 30 year old Johnarl Lester Gordon of Houston.  Perry and Gordon were also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
