College Station Police are on the lookout for two women involved in an ongoing credit card theft scheme targeting retail store employees.
Officer Rhonda Seaton says the reported crimes have spanned from September 10th up until last Wednesday, and it was consistently the same two individuals in all five of the reports.
Seaton says either one or both of the women enters a retail store, and while the clerk is distracted, either by a customer or the other woman, one will find the clerk’s purse, be it behind the counter or in a back storage area, and take credit cards.
She says they then leave and immediately begin to make significant purchases on the cards at other local establishments.
If you have any information or are able to identify the women in the photographs, Seaton asks that you call the police at 979-764-3591.
Rhonda Seaton visits with WTAW’s Kat McMullen.
