CS Wastewater Treatment Plant Getting Major Repairs
Featured Stories, News Monday, October 1st, 2012By the end of 2013, those living around College Station’s Carter Creek wastewater treatment plant will deal with less odor.
The city council at its last meeting approved almost $1.6 million dollars of improvements.
Water services director Dave Coleman told the city council at its last meeting the project will go a long ways towards reducing intermittent odor problems from processing raw sewage.
Coleman says that also includes changing the process of removing oil and grease from raw sewage.
Coleman says the price tag, reduced from $3.5 million, was done to address only essential issues.
