Bryan ISD Classroom Instruction Being Recorded for the First Time

For the first time, teachers in the Bryan school district are being videotaped.

Superintendent Tommy Wallis says it’s no different than ballgames and music performances being recorded for review.

Wallis says the videotaping is not a…in his words…”I gotcha” for teachers, nor is it an evaluation tool.

Wallis says most principals are not watching the tapes, but are giving them to teachers for self-evaluation.

Tommy Wallis visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
