Bryan Police had a case Wednesday morning where unfortunately there was a bite taken out of crime.

Detective Bobby Williams says a burglary suspect who refused to come out of a metal building near Stephen F. Austin school in the 800 block of S. Haswell was bit by Kohn the police dog.

After 24 year old Steadmon Sims of Bryan was checked out at the hospital for minor bites to his left arm, he was taken to jail on a burglary charge.

Williams says it’s the first time a burglary suspect was bit. Kohn, who was not injured, remains on duty.

Bobby Williams visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
