New Way-Finding Signs In the BCS Area

It’s no secret that navigating the Bryan- College Station area can be confusing for visitors.

New way-finding signs going into place this week are intended to not only help them, but also help the local economy.

Shannon Overby with the BCS Visitors Bureau says sign locations include Texas A & M, Bryan’s Blinn campus, the George Bush Presidential Library, the Northgate district, historic downtown Bryan, several athletic venues, and Wolf Penn Creek, among others.

She says signs will guide travelers from each entry point of the community all the way to specific destinations.

Overby says the total project, including fabrication, installation, and design, costs four-hundred-thousand dollars, paid by hotel occupancy taxes from both Bryan and College Station.

She says the full project will actually be completed in several phases, and that this is only the first phase.

She adds that plans are already being made for future signs and phases.
