Local Law Enforcement Hosts National Night Out Kickoff Saturday

Law enforcement agencies in Brazos County are hosting the annual National Night Out kickoff Saturday.

The event will be in the parking lot of the Bryan Target store Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Participating agencies are the Bryan Police Department, the College Station Police Department, the Texas A&M University Police Department, and the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office. They will be joined by local fire departments and other organizations.

The kickoff is held in preparation for the actual National Night Out event that will occur on Tuesday, October 2.

William Bouse of the Bryan Fire Department says the event includes setting fire to two small buildings,  one with a fire sprinkler system and one without. Bouse says that display was produced by an Eagle Scout candidate.
