The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley will join thousands of other Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation to celebrate children at its 11th annual Day for Kids Celebration this Saturday (September 15).

The Club invites the community to participate in this free event to be held at the Henderson Park, located at 1629 Mockingbird Lane in Bryan, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event is free to the community, with food, games and activities provided for children and parents. Local organizations such as the Health Department, BVCASA, Bryan Fire Department, Walmart, Bryan ISD, several Texas A&M Service Organizations, and many others will be hosting carnival style booths. Activities include arts and crafts, face painting, games, inflatable toys and much more. The Bryan Police Department K-9 Unit will put on a demonstration for attendees and the Junior League of Bryan/College Station will also be hosting a Reading Room and giving away free children’s books.
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Brazos Valley is also involved in a fundraiser. Spokesman Bob Ibach says proceeds from the purchase of a special Texas A&M University football benefits the local clubs.
