Fans of the University of Florida football team demonstrated how well they traveled when they visited Texas A&M University over the weekend.
A caller to the post game show on partner station Sports Radio 1150 The Zone, who says he hasn’t missed a Florida game at home or away in 25 years, gave two thumbs up to the Aggies.
Tailgating outside Kyle Field lived up to its reputation as one of the best in the nation.
In the sea of maroon and white at Spence Park were splashes of orange and blue. That included a few tents with all those colors.
Eddie Smith, class of ’97, went on to Florida where he met his wife in addition to getting his MBA.
Marcy McCallum Smith says her allegiance for this game went to her alma mater.
Marcy’s parents, John and Mimi McCallum of Stuart Florida, were in attendance.
So who’s better at tailgating… Eddie or his father in law, John McCallum of Stuart Florida?
The grandchildren were also split in their dress…Logan in the maroon and white and Lily in Florida’s blue and orange.
The Smith’s currently live in Austin, where Eddie flies his Aggie flag.
North of Kyle Field, ESPN College GameDay set up at Simpson Drill Field.
Before the national broadcast began Saturday morning, GameDay host Chris Fowler spoke to the crowd behind the stage. Then the crowd was given the countdown to starting the show.
