Bryan Residents Invited To Reduce Mosquito Population

With more attention being placed on mosquito control to reduce the chances of humans getting West Nile Virus, Bryan residents can get assistance through the city.

Cody Cravatt at the public works office emphasizes the free mosquito plunks and dunks should be placed in large areas of standing water.

Cravatt says they’ll be available as long as the health department reports there are mosquitoes with the West Nile Virus.

Individual residents can get mosquito plunks by going to the Municipal Service Center at 1111 Waco Street or the Parks and Recreation office at 1309 East Martin Luther King Drive weekdays between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Representatives of homeowner and neighborhood associations are asked to make an appointment with the public works office by calling 979-209-5900.

Cody Cravatt visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
