CS Credit Union Has Second Armed Robbery In Nine Months
Featured Stories, News Friday, August 17th, 2012An armed robbery occurred Friday morning at the FedStar Credit Union in College Station.
College Station Police investigators have received information from other law enforcement sources that the suspect in this case is similar in appearance and method of operation to a suspect in several other bank robberies across the state and in Arkansas. The suspect in question is being associated with the bank robber known as the “Loan Ranger Bandit.”
Witnesses say a white man holding a silver semi-automatic pistol demanded money and drove away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
No shots were fired and no one was injured.
The suspect is believed to be in his 20′s, six feet tall, medium build, having stubble-like facial hair, wearing glasses, black basketball shorts, a black zip-up nylon athletic jacket, and a black ball cap with a green shamrock that was turned around.
Leaving the credit union, witnesses said the suspect went north into the neighboring apartment complex and was last seen driving north on Stallings in a small blue or silver vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding this incident, which was reported Friday morning at 11:29 a.m., is asked to contact the College Station Police Department at 979-764-3600.
This is the second armed robbery in the last nine months at the FedStar at 700 Harvey Road, following a holdup that took place December 2, 2011.
