Bryan Mayor’s Reaction to Local Olympic Gold

Under the radar to most, Olympic gold medalist Aries Merritt calls Bryan home.

Merritt’s current residence is listed in his biography on the USA Track & Field website, and the Brazos County online property tax records note he has owned his home since 2007.

Bryan Mayor Jason Bienski says Merritt’s win in the 110 meter hurdles has been a favorite topic of conversation in personal, business, and political circles.

Bienski hopes to recognize Merritt and Olympians attending Texas A&M University as their schedules permit. That includes appearances at city council meetings and possibly the B/CS Christmas parade.

Jason Bienski visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.
