Second Artist is Hired to Repair the Brazos Flower

For the second time in as many years, the Brazos County Commission has hired someone hoping to restore the Brazos Flower sculpture in front of the Brazos Center.

County Judge Duane Peters says the person hired in March of last year was never paid.

Earlier this week, commissioners agreed to a 30 thousand dollar contract with an artist who will be supervised by the flower’s creator.

Peters says the expense is worth the investment to preserve the sculpture.
