One Injured From CS House Fire
Featured Stories, News Saturday, July 21st, 2012A Saturday morning house fire in north College Station sent the lone occupant to the hospital to be treated for suspected smoke inhalation.
Firefighters were sent to 818 Avenue B, near Lincoln and Tarrow, on the report of heavy smoke and flames coming from the brick structure.
The fire, which was under control in 14 minutes, still resulted in heavy damage. A neighbor’s home had minor roof damage, which officials say could have been worse had that occupant not used a garden hose.
The identity of the injured, who was outside their home when firefighters arrived, was not released.
Preliminary information from investigators indicates that the fire may have started in the kitchen area. The exact cause and origin of the fire have not been determined.
Seven units from College Station were assisted by two crews from the Bryan Fire Department.
