A College Station man with Alzheimer’s Disease reported missing on Thursday was found Saturday about four miles from his home.

Brazos County Sheriff Chris Kirk says 67 year old Alec Pearson Jr. “found us” by walking into Viking Floors and asking for a drink.

Kirk says Pearson was barefoot and dehydrated.  Pearson was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

According to a post from the Bryan Fire Department’s Facebook page, the search effort included the College Station Fire Department, Navasota Fire Department, horses and dogs from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, the South Brazos County and Precinct 4 Volunteer Fire Departments, a helicopter from the Department of Public Safety, the Red Cross, and agencies in Harris, Travis, and Washington Counties.
