Suddenlink Sold for $2.5 Billion

Local cable provider Suddenlink has been sold.

Private equity firm BC Partners is teaming up with one of Canada’s top pension funds and Suddenlink chief executive Jerry Kent to buy the cable provider for roughly $2.5 billion.

Suddenlink is the seventh-largest cable provider in the nation with more than 1.4 million customers and another 6,000.

The sale should close later this year, pending regulatory approval.
