Nueces County Crimes Linked to Guns Stolen in Brazos CountyFeatured Stories, News Wednesday, July 18th, 2012
Some criminal activity around Corpus Christi has been linked to guns stolen last December in Brazos County.
Sheriff Chris Kirk says investigators from several agencies continue to work on the theft of 80 firearms from The Great Texas Gun Store east of Bryan.
Kirk says five guns have been recovered, four of them related to various crimes in Nueces County including Corpus Christi.
Kirk says those arrested have not told investigators where they obtained the weapons.
Kirk says local investigators have worked with colleagues in Nueces County, Corpus Christi Police, the DPS Ranger division, and the federal Bureau of Alcohol and Firearms (ATF).
Kirk says there are two rewards, one of up to $1,000 through Brazos County Crimestoppers and another from ATF of up to $5,000 for information related to the burglary.
