CS Finishes as Friendliest City Finalist
Featured Stories, News Tuesday, July 17th, 2012Organizers of College Station’s bid to be the nation’s friendliest city learned Tuesday the top prize went to Murray, Kentucky.
Other finalists were Joplin, Missouri; Frisco, Texas, Cloudcroft, New Mexico, and San Luis Obispo, California.
The Travel Channel will broadcast a recap of the entire Best of the Road tour on July 25 at 7 p.m.
Spokesman Jay Socol wrote on the city’s blog that “Even though College Station didn’t win the competition, we’re already winners: The amount of national exposure and goodwill produced from the contest was massive.”
