Wolf Pen Creek Festival Area Approved 25 Years After First Proposed

For one-third of the nearly 75 year life of the city of College Station, there’s been a proposed festival area at Wolf Pen Creek Park.

Thursday night, the city council approved a $899,122 dollar construction contract.

The only speaker was Mark Chaloupka, a member of the project’s oversight committee. He noted the 25 year journey.

Behind the Wolf Pen Creek arts building there will be a lighted concrete trail, additional parking, and water and electrical hookups.

Weather permitting, construction starts next month with completion scheduled for December.
