Hot Grill Destroys Pickup
Featured Stories, News Friday, July 6th, 2012A July 4th call for College Station firefighters came after embers from a grill in the bed of a pickup reignited while a family was headed home from Lake Bryan.
Bart Humphreys of the College Station Fire Department says an off-duty deputy fire marshal spotted the fire while the truck was on Harvey Mitchell Parkway and got the vehicle to stop at Holleman and Glade.
Humphreys says two adults and two children were not hurt but a small dog died in the fire.
College Station Police arrested the driver for drunk driving.
