The WNBA season is going at full speed right now and right now only one former Aggie player is on a roster. Last night, for A&M All American Danielle Adams scored 24 points off the bench to lead the San Antonio Silver Stars past the Phoenix Mercury 82-81.
In May the New York Liberty cut former Aggie Guard Sydney Colson and last week the Chicago Sky waived Sydney Carter.
Speaking of women’s basketball, the NCAA Tournament is still 8 months away but the dates are set for Reed Arena hosting the irst and second rounds of the NCAA Women’s Tournament. It will be March 23 and 25, a Saturday and Monday. It will be the second year that A&M has hosted. LSU and Tennessee from the SEC will also host. Baylor and Texas Tech will host from the Big 12.
