Tree Removal Starting at Bryan Parks

Thanks to last year’s drought, unscheduled maintenance starts soon at parks in Bryan.

At Tuesday’s Bryan City Council meeting, Interim City Manager Kean Register reported more than 50 dead trees will come down in Tanglewood Park.

Register says a private contractor has been hired at a cost of $5,150 dollars.

Employees of the city’s solid waste division will be disposing the trees.

Register says other parks are being evaluated and no one has recommended replacing the trees.

Comments from Kean Register.
