A Caldwell woman says she stole $78,202.64 from her former employer.

47 year old Deborah Yates was arrested by College Station Police after admitting to putting her name on 21 checks.

Officer Rhonda Seaton says 12 of the checks were written for $4,083. Those checks were meant for the businessowners retirement account.

Four more checks, each for $3729.65, were supposed to be made for vehicle payments. Amounts of the remaining checks ranged from $2,238 and $2,764.

Yates, who was the office manager, was released from jail after posting a $10,000 bond.

Rhonda Seaton visits with WTAW’s Bill Oliver.

Guess what I think you are the biggest idiot I have ever seen write on a
blog. You have no clue where others that are commenting are from.  I
live on Palasota in Bryan and I would love to see you come stay on my
street over the weekend just once.  It is easy for you to say everything
to comment on when you don’t live it.  Keep your mouth shut and get an
    education.
