Consol Wins! Will Play for State 5A Title!

And unbelievable win for the A&M Consolidated Tigers over the 2nd ranked Corpus Christi Carroll Tigers in the State Semi-Final Game at Dell Diamond this afternoon. The Tigers win it 2-1 and will meet Cypress Ranch tomorrow morning at 11:30 for the State 5A Championship.

Carroll was a pitch away from winning the game 1-0 when the Tigers tied the game at 1-1 in the top if the seventh inning with a two out 0-2 count RBI single from Cody Hamilton.

Then Alex Paradowski singled to left to score Ryan Johnson to give the Tigers the 2-1 lead.

Seth Holbert came to the mound to relieve Riley Ferrell in the bottom of the ninth and got a strike out (act), then got 1st round Major league pick Courtney Hawkins to Ground out (act), and then got Trey Rodriguez to ground back to him (act). Holbert  threw it to first to send the Tigers to their first ever State Championship game.
