Arrest Made in South Brazos County Gunfire Assault

The man accused of a shooting his estranged girlfriend three weeks ago south of Millican is in jail after being released from the hospital.
42 year old Daniel Lee Barker is accused of the May 20th aggravated assault of 27 year old Cassandra Ross.
She remains hospitalized after she was shot in the head while standing in her kitchen with family and friends in other parts of her home.
Barker, who was found with a gunshot wound to his chest fired from the same rifle used to shoot Ross, is being held on a bond of $250,000 dollars.
