Volunteer Fireman Dies During Training Exercise

A Brazos County volunteer fireman died during a training exercise.
69 year old Dick Danes was a member of the Precinct 3 department.
Chief Gerald Burnett says they were conducting a ladder exercise at the TEEX Brayton Fire School Thursday evening when Danes had an apparent heart attack.
Burnett says Danes officially joined the department last year but had spent time before that with the volunteer agency.
