Anderson Man Dies In Crash Near Marquez

A man from Anderson is dead following a crash Thursday morning in Leon County.

DPS trooper Jimmy Morgan identified the victim as 64 year old Phillip Warzon.

Warzon was driving a pickup on Highway 79 two miles north of Marquez when it went off the roadway and struck a tree.

An autopsy was ordered.  Morgan says Warzon had a heart condition that might have contributed to the accident.

Warzon was wearing his seat belt.
