President Loftin Says Bill Byrne’s Contract Will Not Be Renewed
Featured Stories, Sports Friday, April 20th, 2012Texas A&M University President Bowen Loftin told the media Friday that Athletic Director Bill Byrne will not serve at the school beyond the end of his current contract, which runs until August 31, 2013.
Dr. Loftin says he has been in discussion with Byrne about the transition.
Houston Chronicle reporter Brent Zwerneman reports that his sources, who he describes as Aggie insiders, say Byrne could be dismissed soon.
