Ron Paul & Rick Perry Fundraising Reports
News Wednesday, October 5th, 2011WASHINGTON (AP) _ Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul says he raised $8 million in the last three months. The Texas congressman said Wednesday that his campaign will report that sum when it files its fundraising report with the Federal Election Commission later this month. Paul also says his campaign has more than 100,000 donors. Paul says “we are very pleased with that” and called his effort “pretty sound numbers.” Paul raised $4.5 million during the first fundraising quarter of his campaign.
WASHINGTON (AP) _ Texas Gov. Rick Perry has raised $17.1 million since August 13, and has $15 million in cash on hand. That’s according to an aide for the Republican presidential candidate. The aide spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid pre-empting an announcement later Wednesday. Almost all of the money is for use in the GOP primary election. About $50,000 was raised for a general election fund in case Perry wins the GOP nomination. His chief rival for the GOP nomination, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, brought in $18 million during his first three-month fundraising period. Romney’s expected to come in below that for the fundraising quarter that ended Sept. 30.

Perry got donations from 20,000+ people.
20 % that of Ron Paul’s donators.
That equates to the mean of the donors for Perry at about $855 per supporter.
Ron Paul’s donors’ mean is that of about $80 per supporter.
And How many donors for Perry and Romney???
I’m switching parties to vote for Ron Paul, and donating again to his October 19 MoneyBomb and any time he has one after that. Each time I try to give more than the last. Not a lot, mind you, but I he’s a candidate I’m proud to support.
He’s been right all this time, while we elected the taller guy or the guy with better hair or the guy who is better at saying nothing. Nothing can bring back the millions of dead our policies have condemned, but we DO have a shot at redemption. Just stop. Stop with the status quo, put aside your fear of not being in the ‘in’ crowd and vote for Ron Paul. You can always say you voted for someone else. But, if the lives of those people mean anything to you, do what you can to help. Donate. Volunteer. Blog. Tell your friends. I tell mine I’m voting for an $8000 tax break (what I might pay in income tax).
