A Bryan man is now a former assistant manager of a northside grocery store.

That’s after he was arrested after admitting to stealing an estimated $7,500 dollars.

25 year old Rodrigo Hernandez-Vega is accused of falsifying store refunds from late January through last week. This was while he worked at the El Ahorro store on Highway 21.

Two private investigators working for the store had Hernandez-Vega in handcuffs when police arrived on Tuesday.

Vega was issued a criminal trespass warning banning him from entering the store. He is out of jail after posting a $5,000 dollar bond.
