Two Killed, 4 Hurt in Grimes County Accident

Slick road conditions led to a fatal accident in Grimes County Monday afternoon.

Authorities say Charles Glover of Hempstead was northbound on Texas 90 just outside Anderson when he hydroplaned and hit a southbound minivan carrying a family of five from the San Antonio area.

The other driver, Peter Michael Bond, 45, of Fair Oaks Ranch, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Bond’s 10-year-old son, Cooper Michael Bond, later died at College Station Medical Center.

The rest of the Bond family, including the mother and two children — ages 8 and 12 — are in good condition at St. Joseph Health Center.

Glover — the northbound driver — is also in good condition at College Station Medical Center.

All occupants in both vehicles were wearing their seat belts.
