Morrow made the announcement at the opening of a press conference Monday afternoon at the Bryan Municipal Building.

Morrow, who did not make himself available for media questions, said he dishonored the uniform of the Bryan Police Department and was resigning.

The announcement ends almost eight months of uncertainty about Morrow’s future with the city, following a domestic disturbance at his home in November 2008.

Morrow called police to his home after an altercation with his wife.
